About the Authors: Dr. Michael W. Foxwrites a well-known syndicated newspaper column on pets and veterinary issues with a weekly readership of 15 million. He is the author of several books on agriculture, food and health. Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins is the former director of technical affairs at Hill’s Pet Nutrition and is now in private veterinary practice. Dr. Marion E. Smart teaches pathology, clinical pathology and clinical nutrition at the Ontario Veterinary College and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
